This Cookie Policy explains how Unfiled (operated by Raemedy Limited) uses cookies and similar browser storage. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What we use
Unfiled uses strictly necessary storage to make the Service work, and optional analytics cookies to help us improve the site. We also use optional advertising measurement cookies on our landing and sign-up pages when you permit them. We do not sell your personal data.
Strictly necessary
- Authentication session — keeps you logged in across pages and tabs. Stored in browser local storage by our auth provider (Supabase).
- CSRF / state tokens — used during HMRC and Companies House OAuth flows to verify the integrity of the redirect.
- User preferences — small values such as your active profile selection, UI settings and your cookie consent choice itself.
Because these are strictly necessary to deliver the Service you have requested, they do not require consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. Analytics cookies
If you choose "Analytics only" or "Accept all optional"on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to collect information about how visitors use the site. This helps us understand which pages are useful and where we can improve.
Google Analytics may collect:
- Pages you view and how long you spend on them.
- Your approximate location (country/city level) and device type.
- How you arrived at the site (e.g., search engine or referral link).
- A unique client identifier stored in a cookie.
These cookies are set by Google and are not essential to running the Service. They are only placed after you consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer.
3. Advertising measurement cookies
If you choose "Accept all optional", we load the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) on the Unfiled landing and sign-up pages. It helps us measure whether a Meta advertisement led to a site visit or completed registration. We do not load the Pixel on authenticated tax, accounts or transaction pages.
The Meta Pixel may collect:
- A page-view or completed-registration event.
- Browser, device, IP address and referring-page information.
- Identifiers stored in Meta cookies such as
_fbpand_fbc.
Unfiled does not send Meta your name, email address, account identifier, tax or financial information, form contents, or values entered into the Service. These advertising cookies are optional and are only placed after you consent.
4. How to control cookies
You can clear or block storage at any time through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary items will sign you out and may prevent parts of the Service from working.
To change your analytics or advertising preference, use the "Manage cookies"link in the site footer. Rejecting optional cookies stops new data being sent to Google Analytics and Meta from that point forward and removes Meta's first-party measurement cookies where the browser permits this.
5. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
